American Daze Northern Cal Tour 2008

We had an incredible time in Northern California presenting the show American Daze in October!  We ministered in Antioch (at KC), Lodi and Stockton at Mark Filkey's church, West Coast World Outreach Church.  We also had the opportunity to sing at the H.I.M. Conference in Fremont.  We saw many lives touched, encouraged, healed and challenged through the message of the show.  Upon returning to Hawaii, we also performed American Daze at KC Niu Valley and Maui again.  Mayoral and County Council candidates attended church those Sundays and were able to hear the Biblical perspective on current events.  Thank you to all of you who supported us on this tour!

Molokai American Daze Cast 2008

Molokai American Daze

We had an awesome time on Molokai preaching and producing the show "American Daze."  While sitting at the Maui airport, we met three ladies who were on their way to Molokai for business.  They came to church in the a.m. and all three got saved!  After rehearsing all afternoon, the cast & crew of Am Daze did an outstanding job.  Several Maui actors & dancers came along and were joined by a few of the Molokai crew.  People were saved and delivered and added to the church there.  Thank you for prayers and support in helping make this outreach a great success! (btw, the hot bread was ono!)

Santiago, Chile, Aug. 2008

It was a great experience being in Chile for the first time. (and a cold experience too!)  My time there was very fruitful.  Most of the week was spent with Sandra (Pastor Frigoli's daughter), Carlos (worship leader) and Isaias (impromptu recording engineer) refining the translations of the songs from Birthday of a King.  It was quite a challenge and a learning experience!  As we finished each song, we recorded a demo for the cast there to rehearse with.  It was amazing to hear it all come together, fully and completely in Spanish!    We held auditions two nights with around 60 people trying out.  Believe it or not, I even taught them the choreography!  They all did super and it is possible they will have a cast of 80 - 100 for the actual show which is planned to be held at the nicest theater in all of Chile.    I also had the opportunity to record two songs on KC Santiago's new praise and worship CD, teach the music ministry, preach in the services and pray for people.   God showed up for which I say "Thank You God!"  And thank all of you for your support and prayers as He allows Melissa and I to see our ministry expand.

Tokyo & Iwakuni, Japan, June 2008

This past June, I (Chris) had the opportunity to return once again to Japan, only this time I was able to go to Tokya as well as Iwakuni.  I had an awesome time visiting with our KC family there!  The day I arrived, we (Shintaro and I) made our way to KC Tokyo, walking down the steep steps from a busy street into the Petra Club where the church meets.  That night, as I was leading worship in English (and in Japanese as much as possible), the small congregation was singing as loudly as possible--the same song in their own language.  Some might think that would create confusion, but not at all.  It made me think of Revelation 7:9 that says every tongue and every nation will worship before the throne of God.  What that says to me is that every people group, every nation, every language, every race is valuable, special and important to God for Him to have every one represented before His throne!  So as we worshiped that night, we had a little taste of heaven.
It was a wonderful week spent teaching, preaching, leading worship, conducting Christmas rehearsals and School of Worship, as well as enjoying the friends, the food and of course, the presence of God.  Keep KC Japan in your prayers as they prepare for their Christmas Production the week of Christmas, along with a team from Kauai, Molokai and Oahu!
